WATER being sprayed about unexpectedly has been a big talking point in Scottish football for the past fortnight.
Vaclav Cerny soaking of a section of the Celtic support with his bottle after Hamza Igamane’s late winner for Rangers in the recent Old Firm derby was defended by his manager Barry Ferguson as just exuberant celebrations.

But the Czech winger’s actions were SLAUGHTERED by Celtic boss Brendan Rodgers who reckoned it showed a lack of respect.
The water theme continued tonight but this time it was the Celtic women’s team who were affected.
They were in action in a vital SWPL clash against title rivals Glasgow City played at Hamilton Accies’ New Douglas Park.
The Hoops had just drawn level around the hour mark through Saoirse Noonan whose strike cancelled out the opener from City’s Brenna Lovera.
But before they could capitalise on that momentum they were forced off the pitch – as one of the on-field sprinklers came to life, soaking everyone in close proximity and sending the players scarpering for cover.
The BBC Alba commentator said: “This is actually the LAST thing Celtic want now they’re back in the game.
“They don’t want a wee delay at all for any reason as things have been going their way these last few minutes.”
And co-commentator Cheryl McCulloch agreed: “Yes, they’ll want to keep building momentum.
“They’ve come out in the second half and started extremely well with a couple of chances.”
McCulloch is a firefighter in her day job but joked that she was “off duty” and couldn’t help.
The disruption certainly seemed to affect Celtic more than their rivals, with City going on to claim a vital winner through Kimberley Smit.
That takes them level with Hibs at the top of the SWPL – while a third straight defeat for Celtic sees the defending champions six points adrift.
And Rangers fans couldn’t help laughing at their rivals’ misfortune with water once again.
One wrote: “Cerny rigged the sprinkler.”
And another added: “Nice to know Cerny is back safe and sound from international duty.”
While a third posted an image of Cerny in a fireman’s uniform with the caption: “Fireman Vaclav”.
